Election motivation
For contributions to ultrafast laser physics and attosecond science and technology, in particular for invention of techniques for frequency comb generation and stabilization, and groundbreaking studies of the physics of light-matter interactions on attosecond timescales such as semiconductor saturable absorber mirror and attoclock resolving the electron tunneling delay and observing the dynamical Franz-Keldysh effect in condensed matter for the first time.
